RICHARDSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 11, 1996--Optical Data Systems, Inc. (ODS), (NASDAQ-NMS:ODSI) today announced a 50 percent expansion of its Richardson, Texas facilities with the purchase of a 50,000 square foot building located at 1001 East Arapaho Road in Richardson, Texas, adjacent to ODS' world headquarters facility.
The new facility will be used for ODS' Technology Center and will house all of ODS' Engineering, Research, and Development personnel.
"ODS' growth has brought about the need to expand our operations into the new Technology Center," said G. Ward Paxton ODS' president and CEO. "The new Technology Center will provide us room to grow our hardware and software engineering in a new facility as well as free up space in our existing headquarters for expanding other operations," Paxton continued. ODS plans to move into the new Technology Center this month.
