Anne Schowe named vice president general manager of interactive services at Sun.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 17, 1995--Anne Schowe has been named vice president and general manager of the interactive services business at Sun Microsystems Computer Co. (SMCC).

She was formerly the managing director of the visual solutions business unit of AT&T's Microelectronics Group.

In her new role, Schowe has responsibility for driving Sun into the emerging world of interactive communications, both in the enterprise as well as consumer markets. In her 20-year career in the computer industry, her responsibilities have included all phases of development, product planning and marketing for computer systems and components. Prior to this position, she held a variety of management positions with AT&T Microelectronics, AT&T Bell Laboratories and Control Data Corp.

Schowe graduated from Purdue University. She received a master of science degree in computer science from Northwestern University, and received her graduate degree in business administration from College of St. Thomas in Minnesota.
