NSW:Man dead after car collides with truck

SYDNEY, Aug 29 AAP - A man has died and a woman is in a critical condition after a
head-on collision with a truck in western Sydney.

The man was travelling south along Burragorang Road in Glenmore, when his Camry sedan
collided with a Pantech truck travelling in the opposite direction about 10am (AEST) on
Monday, police said.

The man died at the scene while his female passenger was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital
in a critical condition.

The driver of the truck has been taken to Campbelltown Hospital suffering from shock
and will undergo mandatory testing.

A Crash Investigation Unit is examining the site.

Police said motorists should avoid the area if possible.

Burragorang Road is closed to traffic with motorists being diverted along Moore Way.
